My friends where trying to hook me up with this girl. She's really nice, but she's just not my type at all. I'm an active musician, play around a lot and meet my fair share of girls. What does it mean when guys start hooting at you?

Well, I live near a really big park. (Miles Square Park) and anyways as I'm walking I get comments from guys every now and again. I hear guys from across the street hooting, or guys yell from their cars, and sometimes have a guy follow me around the park as I'm exercising and he wont go away until I start asking him stupid questions, like, "are you lost" then theyll finally leave really pissed. I am old enough to remember when it used to be added to car batteries! They are usually sealed units these days. It can also be added to steam irons. I think the reason for that is that tap water is too hard and may cause the iron to get furred up. I'm sure it can be used for other things too.

I recently took a flight to the annual Jar Jar Binks convention in West Horton, Ohio. I did not want to pack my Jar Jar costume as it is extremely expensive, but it wouldn't fit in a carry on, so I had to wear it. First, the search at the airport was a human rights violation. The airport security was very rude, and made me give up the two blasters I had on, then got mad at me because of my elaborate costume, saying it took so long to search it held up the line. Then when I finally got on the plane, the stewardess said I couldn't wear my Jar Jar mask, and the two people sitting next to me (I was in the middle), grumbled because my costume took up too much space and had stuff sticking out. After takeoff, I got in the aisle, put on my mask, and danced and yelled to entertain the other travelers. Antisocial Guinea Pigs That Won't Eat Fruits or Veggies?

I have 2 male guinea pigs that aren't a year old yet, they refuse to eat fruits and veggies that I give them as they don't see that its food so I have to give them yogourt drops with vitamin c in them which they eat. (their for guinea pigs and I get them from the petstore). They refuse to eat good things for them, but yet they have no problem chewing on the cage, and plastic in the cage, and the bedding I have them in. (a mix of fleece and paper pulp). Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get them to eat fruit and veggies, i have tried so much, even placing food in their mouth only to have them spit it out then sc their tongue off on their teeth (really cute but not helpful). Sore Wrist of 1 year?

Around 1 year ago I fell of a chair and put my hand out to break the fall.. At the time I was drunk and didnt feel a thing, the next morning my wrist was so sore I couldnt fully rotate it to the right. Its my left wrist. Any advice on isting my husband's "troopers" so we can conceive?

I just found out I am ovulating today and am ttc. My hubby has a slow and low sperm count. Our first son was an IVF and now we're trying on our own for our 2nd since we no longer have the insurance to cover for another IVF. I want to take every advantage of helping my husband's "sluggish troopers" however I can to reach their destination! Don't laugh at me. :-) Anyone have any tips that could possibly get a connection this time? We've been trying since 4 weeks after delivery of my 1st and I would like for them to be close in age. This is the first time I have ever been able to detect my ovulation. For years it's always been hard to detect and with 3 failed IUI's and finally a successful IVF I am hoping we can finally achieve this one on our own. I've already warned my husband we are "getting busy" and for him to be ready when he gets home from work and we're going to have an instant replay again tomorrow just in case my egg decides to hang around a little bit longer. I told him to do whatever he needs to do to be ready. Hopefully he will give them a little pep talk before their race begins, lol! Any ideas on how I can help?

Update on blood tests and Q about when you concieved?

this may sound crazy, but b4 i got pregnant my dr told me when i finished cycle 2 of clomid that I needed to call him when I got my period so I could set up my hysterosalpingogram appt. I got it in my head that after that appt we would get pregnant and since I already messed up the charting and everything for that cycle that I would jus t look forward to that test. And I guess it can clear out your tubes and I was convinced that was going to be the answer. So while in cycle 2 I was rather relaxed after messing up my charts. So I decided I would just put all my focus on the test and I was to have an appt at an infertility center in march so I knew there was hope out there. And oddly enough I got pregnant the 2nd cycle of clomid without all the charting and the stress. I think its b/c I knew there was an answer out there somewhere and that cycle wasn't the be all and end all of ttc. So i think if you focus all your energy on your appt on june 24th youl notice you have less stress. Just trick your mind into thinking that you need the IUI and just enjoy baby dancing. you probably gaines muscle from working out so it appears your weight hasn't changed or even increased. trust me i'm going through the same problem. I'm 5'6", 20 yrs old and 180 lbs. I only eat 1100-1400 calories a day, exercise like crazy and drink 100 oz of water a day and I've not budged on my weight loss. Unfortunately since we're women, if we exercise we don't lose weight, we gain muscle. I can't tell you the secret behind losing just body fat but I know that you're probably gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time. Muscle weighs more than fat. Keep up the diet and exercise and eventually you'll see a difference.

I work at a newspaper building ads. I have problems with black text in color ads coming out with ink on the CMY plates. This causes a problem when the print isn't in registration and there's CMY haze around the black text. We've recently had to eat the cost of a few ads that were ruined this way. I have 3 cats; Zoe (female calico 7 yrs old 9lbs spayed and declawed), Roo (male siamese mix 6 yrs old 18-20lbs muscular neutered), and Tiger (male siamese mix 5 yrs old 20 lbs not so muscular neutered). The history is that they have all been together for the last 5 years since Tiger was a kitten. He has always been somewhat of a bully but there has always been a relative peace between the 3 of them. He and Roo have always seemed to be very close, cuddling and bathing each other whereas Zoe tends to keep to herself more often than not. Over the past two months Tiger's bullying of Roo has disrupted our previously peaceful feline family. Now whenever Tiger comes into a room Roo will growl. Roo will also chase me into my bedroom with a great deal of desperation when I come home. As well, he has resorted to hiding in bedrooms when we try to leave the house. I'm willing to declaw the boys but would rather not. Short of finding Tiger a new home, does anyone have any suggestions?

Dog bladder infection?

My dog is four years old. We recently got him fixed in february because he wouldnt stop marking in the house. you could let him out 50 times a day and he'd still find something to pee on. So, after we got him fixed the marking in the house stopped completelty, not even one accident, until about 2 weeks ago. There was a bad thunder storm and hes terrified of them and i guess while he was laying on the bed he peed. Which even when he was marking he never did it on my bed. So i umed it was because of the storm. Then 3 days ago he peed right in the middle of the floor, and then last night he peep while walkin in the basement. this isnt his motto seeing as how he would hike up and mark on something before. Its almost like he couldnt stop it and was peein. He gets let out plenty of times during the day. About every 2 hours or so. (since he's a little papillion i figured he'd need to go out more) so, what i wanted to know is, could he possibly have a bladder infection, or could it be something else. he has a vet appt. wensday but i just wanted to know maybe what to expect. It's like a style in hong kong, taiwan, vietnam, etc. Most of the asians there dress like tomboys, because that's sorta like a fashion fad. ok, I'm going to try not to be crude here, I'm asian myself, and I personally think that caucasian tomboys often look a bit too girly, or have an awkward tomboy look to them. I mean, tomboys don't always have to look like guys 100%, but I see a lot of asian tomboys and they look a lot like guys. Turtle shell cracks.?

I have an african sideneck turtle who has always had a few shallow cracks in his shell, within the last 6 months he has slowly developed two pencil eraser sized deep holes in his shell. I apply iodine every night to the affected areas. I have also resorted to taking his water tub out of his cage so he doesn't bask in it all day. Instead I give him a one hour nightly bath to hydrate himself and eat. Any advice? The closest specialty vet is extremely expensive just to get him seen, I would prefer to treat him at home, and possibly reduce stress on the little guy.

you should definitely do an inch of ribbing (k1p1) first to keep it straight and elastic around the forehead. if you are knitting the hat in the round (instead of flat and then sewing up the sides) you dont need to learn stockinette stitch. knitting in the round automatically makes it stockinette, so you would just have to knit the whole thing. its also nice cause there is no messy seam where you had to sew the hat up. good luck!
