Who cares what your brothers thinks? I think if you guys really like each other, it shouldn't matter what you're brother will do. Only YOU guys can make the decision to be together. Don't ever let someone else stop you. If you really like him and he really likes you, just go for it, don't let him go. It doesn't matter if your brother will be a jerk about it because the important thing is you'll be happy. I think you two should start going out and you're brother can get over it because even after the ridicule your brother dishes out, it'll be well worth it to think about the wonderful relationship you have.
