Software is not being loaded permanently into the system.?

Software is not being loaded permanently into the system. Once after i restart or shut down the system, i am not able to use the software again. It is again asking to load the software having the shortcut as-is in the system. This is particularly with CAD/CAM (mechanical engg. tools) software tools. Plz help me.
