Landline to cellphone - does voicemail cost money?

If you have a local number and a local cell phone number, it shouldn't matter...unless you are on a limited phone usage land line (where you pay by the minute). I'm sure if you do get extra charges, you can explain to your phone company what happened. You can always put in a dispute.
