Is it better to read a book on an ereader or a paperback?

I'm kinda torn between the two i remember reading oj's memoir about his wife's death and feeling a deep personal connection to him & the characters in the book but never had that feeling on an ereader im thinking about getting a nook color for 230$ or mabye just buy them in paperbacks and save 200$ what's y'all opinion?
