Why do black guys always like northern europeans?

I'm mostly southern or eastern european along with turkish iraqi and cherokee. But like I notice ike my bf whos black and mixed race. All his exes were fair blondes like dutch danish or english type. I always notice interracial couples have like a black guy and the fairest of white girls. Why is this? I'd think it would be the opposite?
